Joe’s Chopped Salad from Body Harmony: Nourishing, Plant-Based Recipes for Intuitive Eating by Nicole Berrie
I was so excited to see this recipe in Nicole Berrie’s new book, Body Harmony. Back in my Chicago days, there was a Joe’s Stone Crab right up the street from my apartment, and while I wasn’t into the crabs, their chopped salad was THE BEST. Nicole has a thing for it too, so she recreated the salad (with some plant-based substitutions).
If you aren’t familiar with Nicole, she owns the best little health/wellness/cafe called Bonberi Mart. I make a stop there whenever I’m in NYC and then crave their food when I get back home….so was super happy to see some of my favorite Bonberi items in this book. Now I can make them at home!
Body Harmony also dives into intuitive eating, food combining, and Nicole’s story of finding these tools to help her feel her best. And if you’re not into the those things…still get it for the recipes. They are simple, super nourishing, and there’s a JOE’S STONE CRAB CHOPPED SALAD RECIPE.
