This week, we’ve got a recipe (Salsa Verde) from LA’s best restaurant (Botanica) and a Things That Freaked My Week with co-owner of that best restaurant, Emily Fiffer.
Botanica’s Salsa Verde
I talk about Botanica’s Salsa Verde a lot. If I even get a whiff of someone headed to Southern California I get all giddy and tell them they MUST to go to Botanica and they MUST get something that has their Salsa Verde on top. I love this sauce so much, I even included it in the Know Your Endo recipe section.
At Botanica, I’ve had the Salsa Verde over Japanese Sweet Potatoes (seen above), and at home I’ve drizzled it on everything from hummus and rice bowls to roasted carrots and tacos.
This recipe calls for parsley and cilantro as the star herbs, but I always throw in a little mint and dill if I have it (basil works well, too). This recipe is super simple and will elevate pretty much any dish you make.
