This week’s newsletter is a super-sized Freak My Week that includes more Oprah messiness, goth-cake making, the best new dating show (with a guy that is actually hot…rare), a song I’ve played 100 times this week, and expensive makeup.
If you’re a freebie subscriber, I’ve got a new cookbook recipe headed your way next month.

Hello!
Excited about this week’s roundup!
Before you get to it…two things.
1. I have a concept for a new podcast. And I keep going back and forth on starting it. Pros: Getting to interview people again, learning lots of new things, and laying some groundwork for my next thing, post graduation. Cons: The editing, ad sales, and trying to echo-proof a room in my new house (I no longer have my podcast closet). Mainly the ad sales part is the con.
Where are you at on podcasts these days?
Are you podcast-fatigued? Or would you want a new one in your life?
Reply to this email and let me know. I am really going back and forth on it.
2. I made the Dean’s List this semester. I tried to fit this accomplishment into nearly every conversation I had last week, so thought I’d brag about it here, too. Feeling really proud I pulled this off.
Goodies below.
See you in a couple of weeks.
Love,
Jessica “Dean’s List” Murnane

“The finishing touch: messages such as “I hate people” in place of the usual “Happy Birthday!” or “Congratulations!” Hard-edged and punk influenced, her style has attracted brands including Bulgari, Hermès and Miu Miu…” The video in this piece is great.
Katie Sturino vs Weight Watchers…and Oprah
While I have not forgiven messy O yet, I watched her “event” last week…Making The Shift. Using “watched” loosley because I came for the Katie Sturino part and mostly ff’d (fast forwarded) through the rest like it was a Love Is Blind episode…stopping every now and then to see if anything juicy was happening.
Some thoughts on the parts I did see:
