Hello!
I’m feeling more bullets today than long form writing …
Things I’m doing this month:
• Learning how to cottage-garden! I am obsessed with this woman’s yard that lives a couple blocks away from me. I don’t know her at all…so I wrote her a note, asking if I could pay her to help me. She said yes and that she’d do it for a good meal in exchange. It turns out she is a Master gardener, and I feel so lucky she’s down to help. We’re meeting tomorrow night (and let me know if you want any of her hot tips)!
• I have a bad habit of constantly checking for updates on things that don’t make my brain feel good (think the Murdaugh trial). I need to stop, but am having a hard time going cold turkey. So whenever I get the urge, I decided to search for something that inspires me creatively instead. This week it’s been AU and UK design sites, like Vogue Living. And it’s working.
• Tried Whole Food Cooking’s chia pudding recipe with mangos and raspberries this week - and it’s the best yet!
• For over a decade I could not feel my abdominal muscles. Between prior endo surgeries, my adenomyosis, and burst cysts – the inflammation was just so crazy that I could not feel them. The past two weeks, I started this super intense workout called Method that use mega reformers. My abs are sore! I can feel them! And it’s one of the coolest things ever.
Thanks for being here.
Go get the goodies below!
Love,
Jessica
The Things The Freaked My Week

BAD BINCH TONGTONG
Give me every single thing this man makes. LOOK AT this, this, and this.
Judging what others feed their kids is a blood sport. Why? via LA Times
"6 out of 10 mothers of young kids say they’ve been criticized about parenting, with more than half of those complaints centered around what they feed their children.” An interesting read!
MONKI x BDDF
This video / awareness campaign with Body Dysmorphic Disorder Foundation and Monki (the clothing brand) is so powerful. They’ve also created this petition you can sign that calls for transparency on altered images on social media. Very necessary.
Oofos Ooh Slide Sandal
I’ve been dealing with some pretty brutal plantar fasciitis for nine months, which started causing hip problems, too. I tried physical therapy, rolling my feet on frozen water bottles, wearing these insane socks to bed…and nothing really worked. And then I tried these slides. And things finally changed! I wear them at all times in the house – first thing in the morning until bedtime. They aren’t really my style outside of the house…but wearing them inside seems to be doing the trick.
The Traitors
Ok, the image from this show looks super corny, but I promise you it’s SO GOOD. After loving the The Traitors (US) I discovered that it was originally an Australian show…and then I discovered there is a UK version, too! I’m finishing up the AU version now and then on to the UK. It’s all on Peacock (US, AU, and UK). Tell me if you watch!
Signed Bookplates for Endo Awareness Month!
If you buy a copy of Know Your Endo for yourself or someone you love during March (endo awareness month), I’ll send you a personalized, signed bookplate and a handwritten note, too. Just reply to this email with your book receipt, who the book is for, anything you want me to include in the note, and a mailing address - and I’ll pop it in the mail!
I sometimes receive an affiliate commission on links shared, like Bookshop.org (a great place to support local bookstores!)
