This is the free edition of the newsletter. Last week in the paid version, I shared a recipe from the best cookbook of 2023, Tenderheart, a Freak Your Week that included the tiniest tomatoes you’ve ever seen, and my new favorite scandal podcast. You can upgrade to a paid subscription here. Becoming a paid subscriber supports my work and means I never have to do Instagram sponsored-content ever again…which is a win for everyone.
Alright, June goodies below!
Love,
Jessica
The Things That Freaked My Week
Chocolate Cashew Butter
Bon App sent out a newsletter roundup of their best vegan brunch recipes, and my Chocolate Cashew Butter recipe made the list. I completely forgot I even made this recipe (it was from the One Part Plant cookbook). If you forgot about it too…here you go!
Superbloom’s Sex And The City Floral Moments Roundup
Superbloom rounded up the top 100 SATC floral styles and botanical moments in the show’s history. It’s such a fun (and pretty) read! Make sure to sign up for their newsletter, it always a dose of happy.
The Garden Chronicles
Now that HBO Max merged with Discovery+ and is now just Max (confusing)… I have access to all the Magnolia Network shows and have been really getting into them. Growing Floret was a great watch, but The Garden Chronicles is on another level. The fist episode visited Bunny Mellon’s Oak Springs, and I immediately wanted to redo my entire garden. All of the episodes are around 10 minutes long…so def watched them all in one night.
Tribucha
A friend gifted me a case of this kombucha for helping her out with a project, and I cannot stop thinking about (and buying) it!! The Brainiac is by far my favorite – it’s super light and refreshing (in a way that no other kombucha is). If you can find it where you live, GET SOME.
My Feely Human Event!
Next week, I’ll be joining the Feely Human community to talk about Media Boundaries and Nice Shows. If you’ve been here for a minute, you know I talk a lot about nice shows (ones that don’t involve violence, scary clowns, and nightmare scenarios), and I even included a section about it in Know Your Endo.
Managing your media diet (what you consume via social media, film/television, online) can impact your mental health. I’ve made a huge shift with my media diet in the last five years and can truly notice a difference.
In the talk, we’ll explore:
- Creating boundaries with our media consumption
- Physical and emotional boundaries
- Tips for better media boundaries
- Nice shows (I’m bringing a list of my favorites!)
Non (the founder of Feely Human) is super chill and kind and fun to talk to, and I know this is going to be a lot of fun!
This event is open to paid members of the Feely Human membership community, as well as open to the public for $15!
You can sign up here.
