Know Your Endo Is Available For Pre-Order!
This book has been a year and half in the making, and I’m so excited to finally get to share it.
What’s it all about?
In the first half of the book, I break through the all the misinformation about endometriosis and give you the essential knowledge you need to become your own best advocate. I take you through the ins and outs of endo (with an extensive Q+A) and explain how it can impact nearly every aspect of your life. Endo isn’t just painful periods, it can impact everything from careers and relationships to mental health.
The second half of the book is a progressive five-week plan that includes help from top endometriosis doctors and experts in the field, and is focused on teaching a new management tool each week. There is no one-size-fits all management plan for endo, and these foundational tools are meant to be adapted and customized to find what works for you.
Here’s a peek at the table of contents…
It also includes: 20+ low-inflammatory recipes, movements created by a pelvic floor therapist, worksheets, writing prompts, and plans to help guide you through each week. And an extra chapter that breaks down additional management tools, including Pelvic Floor Therapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Cannabis + CBD, and more.
Why does pre-ordering a book matter?
It gives booksellers and libraries a heads up on the books that are in demand. Which means they’ll order more copies for their shelves. Which means a publisher will put more ad dollars towards its promotion. Which means more people will see it!
With more visibility and awareness for endo, someone might get diagnosed sooner. Or feel more confident speaking up for themselves. Or feel less alone when they see that endo is a thing people are talking about. Pre-ordering helps make that happen!
*I also have a giant pre-order giveaway happening, too…just saying.
So where can I pre-order?
All of the book buying options are on this page
or pre-order right now from…
IN THE US:
Blue Bicycle Books (for a signed copy!)
Amazon
Barnes And Noble
Bookshop
IN THE UK:
Waterstones
Amazon UK
Bookshop
Not able to pre-order? That’s ok! You can help by calling your library or local bookstore and asking them to stock it. Or you can share about it with your friends, family, and community on social or IRL (send them this link). The more noise we make, the more the world will know that endo matters.

The Thing That Freaked My Week:
Letters + Care Packages Just Because
This past week, when I was feeling the lowest I have in a while…a big box of chocolate bars arrived at my door, sent from a friend. I hadn’t even told her I was struggling, but she knew. It was funny, because the day before it arrived, I had sent a batch of cards to friends just to say I was thinking about them. I think it’s pretty safe to say that a lot of us are struggling right now…and sometimes we don’t even have to say that we are. Our friends just know it.
While cards and chocolate bars aren’t going to solve all of our problems, I can tell you that a little dose of love (whether you are sending or receiving) can really help you get through an hour or a day or a week a little better. And more than ever, it’s good to keep checking in on the mental health of our friends. I’m going to keep sending out a few cards every week to keep the love and check-ins going (it’s cool to support the post office, too).
Here are some of my favorite places/brands to buy cards/stationery:
Greer (so many good cards and stationery sets)
The Great Lakes Goods (cool objects to send, too)
People I’ve Loved (graphic cards and prints)
Sunwoven Marketplace (lots of pretty gifts and cards)
*P.S. Also, no need to buy anything if you can’t…you can just make it. Fold up a scrap piece of paper and write a note. A friend also dropped off a bag of oranges from her tree the other day, too. Anything and everything can mean a little something right now.
January’s Podcast!
Episode 169: SIBO 101 (Symptoms, Testing, and Treatment) + Overcoming Food Fear With Phoebe Lapine Of SIBO Made Simple
This week I’m talking to Phoebe Lapine. Phoebe is a food and health writer, gluten-free chef, speaker, and the voice behind the award-winning blog Feed Me Phoebe. Phoebe’s debut memoir, The Wellness Project, chronicles her journey with the autoimmune disease Hashimotos Thyroiditis. Her latest book, SIBO Made Simple, helps those newly diagnosed or chronically fighting small intestine bacterial overgrowth.
In this episode, Phoebe and I discuss SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth) and the symptoms, testing, types, and treatment – as well as how depression and anxiety play a role in gut-health issues, the low-FODMAP diet, and overcoming food fear after elimination diets.
Food Things I’m Excited About..
• My friend, Kimberly Espinel has an incredible new book out called Creative Food Photography. I seriously wish I would have had this back in the day when I started One Part Plant! I actually stopped taking food photos because I was so frustrated and didn’t feel like I was able to produce the photos I had in my head. Her book helps you with everything from camera settings and angles to mood boards, styling, and making your photos pop. Good for newbies and people who have been at it for awhile! Go check it out!
• 80/20 Plants is a new app that makes plant-based eating simple. Their mission is all about progress over perfection. It has 1:1 nutrition coaching, hundreds of recipes, daily lessons, and meal-planning & cooking tips. It’s really a perfect place to start if you’ve been wanting to learn more about plant-based eating (they also have a free 7-day trial!). You can find it here.
• I’ve been cooking so much from Simply Delicious Vegan since I got it. All of the recipes are super easy, and I usually have most of the ingredients on hand. Favorites so far have been the Chipotle Enchilada Sauce and Pad Thai!
• Good Food Cooking School winter enrollment ends tonight at 8PM EST (enrollment only happens twice a year). I know I talk a lot about Heather Crosby’s courses, but it’s because they’re just so good. Beautifully designed with amazing recipes and incredible classes that really teach the basics of healthier cooking. And all taught by one of the best humans I’ve ever met. You can get $100 off enrollment by using code goodfoodcooking before 8PM EST tonight!
*Still working on a cute footer (which I may or may not ever actually do)…so as a reminder, you can follow my personal/podcast IG here and the Know Your Endo one here.
