Here’s the details:
• Season 2 starts the third week of October - December (great for seasonal offers)
• $150 a spot (two ad minimum)
• You’ll receive:
- 90 second ad read (I’ll write the ad and you’ll approve it before it airs)
- A mention in this newsletter
- A mention on my website and show notes of the podcast
If you want to grab a spot, reply to this email or message me at jess@onepartplant.com.
Alright, go get your links!
Love,
Jessica
P.S. Thanks to everyone who voted for the audio vs podcast poll…overwhelmingly, you all do not care about video podcasts (or at least not one from me). Which sort of feels like a relief. Sticking to audio only!
Season Finale of INSIDE + OUTSIDE PODCAST
Last week, I interviewed Jules Giuliano, lead researcher at Rosy Soil. Favorite parts: the impact of using peat in the garden (and why it’s banned in the UK), preserving Gullah Geechee culture, Pecan-a-thons with a Reno 911 star. Listen on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or my website.
This week’s season finale is with stylist and personal shopper, Ally Holleb. Favorite parts: Talking about the fear of birds, shoes vs. no shoes in the house, and lots of pop culture news. Listen on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or my website.
And thank you to this week’s sponsor, It’s Love Ya’ll!
The Things That Freaked My Week
Some things I’m currently thinking about / loving…
INSIDE
Cat Video Fest
I took my son to Freakier Friday and this poster (above) stopped us in our tracks (we watch a lot of cat videos in our house). The fest is in multiple cities, check to see when it’s coming to you here!
Six female artists on how they prepared for their major solo debuts this fall via The Cut
Ask App Not To Track with John Early
Whenever I’m feeling sad/overwhelmed…this makes me laugh. The perfect low stakes watch (and it’s very short)
From The Fear Of Letting Go by Mahagoni
Love this print.
Do Famous Artists Have Famous Kids? via Rose Florence
I’ve found so many new women artists through Rose Florence. I knew she was an incredible follow, but then this piece took my love of her content to another level.
OUTSIDE
Beyond Van Gogh and Monet
Technically inside…but the moving floral moments of this exhibit count as an “outside thing”. I cried. A must if it comes to your city!
First Year Blooming Foxgloves
Many Foxgloves are biennial plants, which means they do not flower until the second year. Which can be hard for someone who 1. Doesn’t have a ton of growing space and needs the real estate and 2. Is freaked out about caring for a flower for two years before they bloom (understandable). BUT! There are a handful of Foxgloves that will flower in the first year – Camelot Cream, Lavender, White and Dalmatian Peach are all pretty options.
REDUX Contemporary Art Center Cut Flower Workshop
It’s been a dream of mine to host a workshop at REDUX (an incredible art space / gallery) since I moved to Charleston over a decade ago. And it’s happening on August 30th! If you’re in Charleston or close by, sign up. It’s gonna be a lot of fun.
Indian Coriander (Cilantro)
I love growing different varieties of my favorite herbs each season. If I’m growing them…why not get something I can’t find at the store. Last year, I grew three different kinds of dill. And this year, I’m trying this variety of cilantro – it’s supposed to have a lemon note and the flowers are just so cute.
The bulbs to plant in autumn for a vibrant display of spring flowers via House & Garden
I neeeeeed that Fritillaria Persica
